Ask what will happen before the first coat is mixed. A useful proposal should describe how the slab will be inspected, cleaned and mechanically prepared. It should explain how cracks, pits, joints, oil, old coatings and possible moisture will be handled. It should also name the layers in the proposed system and state when the floor can return to foot traffic, vehicles or equipment. These details matter more than a broad promise that the floor is durable.
Compare the proposed system with the actual room. An indoor basement, a bright garage entrance and a commercial work area do not have the same exposure. Ask why the selected primer, body coat, flakes or clear coat fit that use. If sunlight reaches the floor, ask about colour stability.
